Fear of Twine
\n\n\nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\n\nOnline Exhibition Fear of Twine Launched\n\nCollects sixteen hypertext games, stories, and other works\n\nBrooklyn, NY Feb 14, 2014\n\nThe online exhibition Fear of Twine showcases games, stories, essays, presentations, and otherwise uncategorizable pieces created with Chris Klimas's hypertext generation tool Twine.\n\nCurated by Richard Goodness ("Sam and Leo Go To The Bodega", "The Richard Goodness Trilogy", "Player Torture Simulator"), Fear of Twine collects sixteen works by nineteen different authors, designers, and artists. Drawing from a wide variety of skill levels and backgrounds, these works show some of the range of what Twine can do.\n\nTwine's relatively low learning curve allows a brand-new author to tell a story without having to learn to program; its flexibility lets a skilled designer try out some interesting technical tricks. Both are on display in Fear of Twine, and the wide variety of genres represented--fiction, nonfiction, game, story, science fiction, fantasy, horror, realism, comedy--means that there's something for everyone in the exhibition.\n\nFear of Twine runs from February 14, 2014 - April 18, 2014 on fearoftwine.com.\n\nThe full list of authors and games is as follows:\n\nPippin Barr, Gordon Calleja, Sidsel Marie Hermansen, “Drosophilia”\n\nEric Brasure, “Saturday Night”\n\nColeoptera-Kinbote, “Duck Ted Bundy”\n\nKonstantinos “Gnome” Dimopoulos, “Workers in Progress”\n\nJoseph Domenici, “Coyotaje”\n\nRichard Goodness and PaperBlurt, “TWEEZER”\n\nJoel Goodwin, “Truth is Ghost”\n\nJonas Kyratzes, “The Matter of the Great Red Dragon”\n\nVerena Kyratzes, “Zombies and Elephants”\n\nAmanda Lange, “The Girl in the Haunted House”\n\nDavid T. Marchand, “When Acting As A Particle” (aka “When Acting As A Wave”)\n\nTony Perriello, “Debt”\n\nMorgan Rille, “The Conversation I Can’t Have”\n\nEvil Roda, “The Scientific Method”\n\nCayora Rue, “The Work”\n\nIvaylo “Evil Ivo” Shmilev, “Abstract State-warp Machines (ASwM)”\n\n\nFor any questions, please contact Richard Goodness, rgoodness@gmail.com.\n\n\n[[Back|MAIN]]\n\n\n
